Register your AliExpress account
To safely shop on AliExpress, you must first register an account on AliExpress. This is the only way you can order from their market sellers. In addition, it is a safe way to track orders and shipping details. There are many options for registering an account, you can use your Facebook, Google, Twitter or Apple account.
Similarly, there are two ways to shop on AliExpress: on the web or on the AliExpress app. The choice is yours. I usually prefer to shop on my laptop to take a closer look at the items I am interested in. The app is a great way to find ideas, trading and even coin games.

Choose your language and currency preference
The next step is to choose the country where you live, your language preference and local currency. You can find these options (network options) in a tab located directly below the promotion heading at the top and to the left of the account tab (upper right corner). If you prefer to shop from the AliExpress app, these options are located at the top of the app screen. Just click the settings button to make a selection.
Browse and search products
AliExpress may be overwhelming at first, but it is one of the most advanced online shopping markets you can find. It has many great features that can help you find the right products, view the seller’s history, the number of followers, and product ratings. It can also recommend products based on your browsing activities, list weekly offers, top-ranked products and promotions.
The AliExpress app is loaded with incredible features, including coin-collecting games, reduced price games, free gifts, free shipping, coupon friends, bonus friends, fresh discoveries, live meetings, and style zones.
You only need to enter the product name in the search button to browse, such as “black dress”. Or you can choose by category, such as fashion, decoration, electronics, toys, office supplies, beauty, etc.
How to know if the seller is trustworthy
In this era, people must pay attention to online shopping on any website, including Amazon and AliExpress. These two retailers are huge markets where you can find countless sellers-good, bad and ugly! Again, this applies to every online store or website that appears in every corner of computers and mobile screens. You never know whether they are legal and reliable. However, what I like about AliExpress is that they provide as much transparency as possible based on data collected from store orders, reviews, followers, and likes. Let me show you how to rank sellers for reliability:
When you click on a product you like, you will be directed to the product page, where you can view the seller’s ranking, including:
Percentage of positive feedback: The higher the percentage, the better, but less than 90% is not accepted.
Number of fans: Again, if the store has a large number of fans and fans, it is more reliable.
Brand badge: The badge means that it is a popular seller or brand.
You can see the year the seller opened, their contact information, and visits to the store.
Should you shop on AliExpress?
So you found something you like on AliExpress, but you are not sure if you should order it. What should you look for before adding it to the shopping cart and placing an order? First of all, remember that AliExpress is a market that manages white label and manufacturer products, which means you are not buying a private label. Therefore, you should not expect its quality to be similar to the retailer’s or designer’s own brand of manufacturing process, quality, materials, and final product. That being said, you can still find deals and well-made products on AliExpress, similar to Amazon, Shein, H&M, and cheap retailers.
Here is how to rank products on AliExpress
Even if the seller ranks high, I still check product reviews and reviews. This is what you should look for:
Star rating: You will find it under the product description. This rating is based on the reviews of average buyers. This feature will never tell a story, a true story.
Order quantity: Popular products are popular products, indicating their reliability. If the product has a 5-star rating and there are only 2 orders, it’s best to search other sellers to get a better rating map. If the product has a 4.8-star rating and hundreds or thousands of orders, the rating is more accurate and reliable.
Comments: Always read the buyer’s comments because they will share their experience and opinions on product quality, materials, and dimensions. They will tell you whether the item is suitable, whether it is valid in your country/region (e.g. electronic products) and whether it has a reasonable lifespan.
Buyer’s photo: I always check the buyer’s photo to make sure the item looks the same as the photo posted by the seller. In the fashion industry, when you look at a photo of a buyer wearing an item, you can judge whether it looks good or cheap. Sellers often use unauthorized product images from social media influencers and private labels to lure buyers to order fashion items. This is why I always review the photos submitted by customers and buyers.
Payment methods on AliExpress
AliExpress has a variety of payment methods, including credit card, PayPal, Apple and Google Pay. You can also choose to use Alipay in some countries/regions, but all countries/regions support certain payment methods.
How does AliExpress ship?
Shipping options vary by seller and shipping destination. Some sellers offer free shipping, or you may be eligible for free shipping promotions. But the cheapest option is the standard shipping method of AliExpress, with an estimated delivery time of 3 to 4 weeks. This does not mean that you will receive it within the time frame, because there may be some unforeseen delays in shipping or customs. AliExpress Premium Shipping is expensive and can be delivered within 9 to 20 days. Or, if you need items within 2 weeks, you can choose private couriers such as FedEx and DHL. You must bite the bullet and increase the freight and express prices! They may be more expensive than the items you plan to buy.
Can you buy multiple products and pay the shipping cost only once?
In my recent order, the seller used “intermodal” for the first time, which was a pleasant experience. More and more sellers are using this breakthrough delivery option to save shipping costs and prioritize your order to arrive faster.
Will AliExpress increase customization fees?
No, it doesn’t. These fees are governed by the customs regulations of your country/region. You can check some frequently asked questions on the AliExpress website, but it is best to check the customs website of your country/region.
How do you resolve disputes, cancel or refund?
On AliExpress, you can resolve disputes by contacting the seller to raise a dispute with AliExpress. Sometimes contacting the seller first can speed up the resolution. They may replace lost or damaged items for you instead of refunding them. If you cannot resolve this issue with the seller, please file a dispute here.
Once you raise a dispute, you should submit evidence and request a refund. The seller will make suggestions that you can accept or reject. In the latter case, AliExpress will intervene and provide a solution. You will receive a refund from AliExpress within a few days, and the refund method is the same as the payment method you used for the order.
